Montréal…A Cultural Feast for the World

With a party that lasts year round, it's hard to say no to Montréal. Just ask the guys behind the Formula One Grand Prix, who will be back in Montréal for the 2010 Formula One season. From June 11 to 13, things heat up, as the best drivers in the world reunite on the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit to treat their fans to a race to remember. And that's just a prelude to our infamous festival season, when music venues, theatres and comedy clubs open their doors to the world and showcase culture like you've never seen it. Need a laugh to unwind? How about some jazz to shake off the winter blues, or Shakespeare from your lawn chair? These are just some of the experiences that await you. It all starts at the world renowned Jazz Fest (June 25 – July 6) that's drawn the likes of Stevie Wonder and Norah Jones. From there you can discover the next Jerry Seinfeld at the Just for Laughs Festival (July 15 – 25) and catch some Shakespeare in the Park after the sun sets. Catch a drink in between on one of our many terraces and watch the beautiful people go by. No matter what your passion, indulge in it this summer chez nous.

2010 - An Exciting Year Ahead

Some things really do get better with age. After 28 years of serving some of the best events in the world, JPdL is about to embark on its most exciting year yet. The following is just a sample of the over 50 projects underway:

JPdL - A Legacy that Continues to Grow

The last year has seen an exciting growth spurt for JPdL, as we continue to find new ways to serve our clients. We have a new and exciting place to call home, thanks to an 18 month long office facelift. The renovations generated plenty of sawdust, but not enough to stop us from doing what we love most. Not only did we have a packed schedule for 2009, but a greater number of events than ever took us globetrotting. Clients like the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the Société internationale d’urologie put us to work around the world, in such countries as Korea, China, Japan, Australia and Mexico, proving that our services know no borders.

December saw our elves hard at work mailing out the 20th edition of our famous Christmas card. While the list keeps growing every year, no fewer than 300 clients have received each card since inception. For JPdL President Jean-Paul de Lavison, there was no better way to end the year, with a future that looks brighter than ever. "Our growth in the last year alone solidifies our commitment to continue serving our clients for many years to come."

Smooth Sailing for Geneviève Leclerc

Senior Project Manager Geneviève Leclerc, a familiar face at JPdL Montréal, took a break from it all this summer to travel the high seas. In June 2009, Geneviève sailed off into the sunset for a 6 month sabbatical of sailing across the Mediterranean, Spain, Gibraltar, the Aegean Sea, Turkey, the Greek islands, as well as the Atlantic offshore from the coast of Portugal and around the Canary Islands. She sailed back to her home port on January 18th with the internationally recognized RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence in hand. Ready to take on any challenge, for Geneviève Leclerc, it’s all smooth sailing.

Le Général Leclerc est de retour, comme capitaine!

Geneviève Leclerc, Chargée de Projet Senior depuis quelques années chez JPdL a profité d’un congé sabbatique de 6 mois pour prendre le large! De retour au bureau depuis le 18 janvier dernier avec sa certification RYA (Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence) en poche, Geneviève est prête à relever tous les défis!
