REPORTING RELATIONSHIP 

The Scientific Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations. 

 

Scientific Program Manager, Conference Division  

Strong customer service background in planning and managing a scientific program in collaboration with the scientific committee and clients.  Working with Societies/Clients responsible for National and International conferences to provide them guidance and the development of project timelines and project deliverables to ensure a successful program.  

 

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES 

• Previous experience in managing scientific and/or academic conferences; 

• Experience managing and planning a program with the scientific committee for large National and International conferences; 
• Must have conference planning experience in managing abstracts, calls for papers, e-posters and program development; 
• Experience working with an abstract planning system (Aventri or other system); 
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in French and English (a must); 
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to re-assess priorities and manage multiple projects; 

• Ability to work under pressure and on multiple events with various deadline dates; 
• Ability to work within a team setting; 
• Time management skills are essential; 
• Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft 365 environment including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Asana is an asset;
